See your Google Sheets content calendar in Google Calendar

Plan posts, articles and newsletters in a spreadsheet, where it is easy to sort and filter. Calendrow puts each publish date on a calendar so nothing slips.

Who it's for: Marketers, creators, editors and small teams who plan content in a sheet.

Make a copy in Google SheetsDownload the template (CSV)

After making a copy, check the time zone: File → Settings → Time zone. A copy keeps the template's zone (US Central), and Calendrow reads times in the sheet's zone. CSV: in Google Sheets choose File → Import → Upload, then "Replace spreadsheet". Dates use the YYYY-MM-DD format, which Sheets reads as real dates in any locale.

Set it up in 3 minutes

  1. Open your sheet (or the template) and choose Extensions → Calendrow → Open Calendrow.
  2. Match the columns:
    Calendrow fieldColumn
    TitleTitle
    StartPublish date
    All-dayAll-day
DescriptionChannel / Owner / Status (combine with a formula)
  3. Create a calendar for it (Calendrow suggests a name), click Preview, check the times, then Sync.

Every row gets a status: Created, Updated, Unchanged, Skipped or Error, with a plain-English reason. Sync again any time; changed rows update their events and nothing is duplicated.

Tips

  • Put more in the title with a formula like =D2&": "&A2 ("Blog: Holiday gift guide").
  • Use all-day events for publish dates so they sit at the top of the day without blocking time.
  • Moved a date? Change the cell and sync again. The event moves with it.

Questions

Can the status column change the event color?

Not today. Use the status in the title or description. Each calendar has its own color, so a separate calendar per channel is another option.

Does editing the event in Calendar change my sheet?

No. The sheet is the source of truth: if someone edits the event in Calendar, the next sync puts it back to match the sheet and tells you why in the preview.

The free plan creates up to 100 new events a month and writes to calendars Calendrow creates for you, which you can share like any other calendar. Syncing into your existing calendars is coming in Calendrow Pro.
