Publish an event list from Google Sheets to Google Calendar

Venues, clubs and community groups keep upcoming events in a sheet. Calendrow turns the list into a shareable Google Calendar and keeps it in step with the sheet.

Who it's for: Venue and event coordinators, clubs, libraries, nonprofits and community groups.

Make a copy in Google SheetsDownload the template (CSV)

After making a copy, check the time zone: File → Settings → Time zone. A copy keeps the template's zone (US Central), and Calendrow reads times in the sheet's zone. CSV: in Google Sheets choose File → Import → Upload, then "Replace spreadsheet". Dates use the YYYY-MM-DD format, which Sheets reads as real dates in any locale.

Set it up in 3 minutes

  1. Open your sheet (or the template) and choose Extensions → Calendrow → Open Calendrow.
  2. Match the columns:
    Calendrow fieldColumn
    TitleEvent
    StartStart
    EndEnd
    All-dayAll-day
    LocationVenue
    DescriptionDetails
  3. Create a calendar for it (Calendrow suggests a name), click Preview, check the times, then Sync.

Every row gets a status: Created, Updated, Unchanged, Skipped or Error, with a plain-English reason. Sync again any time; changed rows update their events and nothing is duplicated.

Tips

  • Multi-day events: tick All-day and give an end date. A Dec 24–26 closure shows across all three days.
  • Make the calendar public (calendar settings → "Make available to public") and embed it on your website with the code Google Calendar gives you.
  • Preview first: Calendrow shows every event it will create or change, with the exact time, before it writes anything.

Questions

Can visitors add the calendar to their own Google Calendar?

Yes. Once the calendar is shared or public, share its link and people can add it with one click.

What if an event is cancelled?

Delete it in Google Calendar, or change the title to "CANCELLED – …" and sync so subscribers see the change. Opt-in cleanup of deleted rows is planned for the next free update.

Is there a limit?

The free plan creates up to 100 new events a month. Updating events you already created doesn't count.

The free plan creates up to 100 new events a month and writes to calendars Calendrow creates for you, which you can share like any other calendar. Syncing into your existing calendars is coming in Calendrow Pro.
