Put project deadlines from Google Sheets on Google Calendar

Your task list lives in a sheet; your day lives in Google Calendar. Calendrow puts each due date on the calendar and moves it when the plan slips.

Who it's for: Project managers, students, freelancers and small teams tracking deadlines in a sheet.

Make a copy in Google SheetsDownload the template (CSV)

After making a copy, check the time zone: File → Settings → Time zone. A copy keeps the template's zone (US Central), and Calendrow reads times in the sheet's zone. CSV: in Google Sheets choose File → Import → Upload, then "Replace spreadsheet". Dates use the YYYY-MM-DD format, which Sheets reads as real dates in any locale.

Set it up in 3 minutes

  1. Open your sheet (or the template) and choose Extensions → Calendrow → Open Calendrow.
  2. Match the columns:
    Calendrow fieldColumn
    TitleTask
    StartDue
    All-dayAll-day
    DescriptionProject / Owner / Link
  3. Create a calendar for it (Calendrow suggests a name), click Preview, check the times, then Sync.

Every row gets a status: Created, Updated, Unchanged, Skipped or Error, with a plain-English reason. Sync again any time; changed rows update their events and nothing is duplicated.

Tips

  • All-day deadlines sit at the top of the day in Calendar without blocking time.
  • Add reminders on the calendar itself (calendar settings → event notifications) so they fire on your phone even when the sheet is closed.

Questions

Will I get reminders?

Google Calendar sends them, based on the calendar's default notifications. They work even when the sheet is closed.

Can I sync only unfinished tasks?

Calendrow syncs every row with a title and start date. Keep finished tasks on another tab, or use a FILTER formula tab that shows only open tasks and sync that tab.

The free plan creates up to 100 new events a month and writes to calendars Calendrow creates for you, which you can share like any other calendar. Syncing into your existing calendars is coming in Calendrow Pro.
